This weekend was 100% RV related. On Saturday I helped my friend tack weld a canopy locking bracked onto his RV-8 fastback. Sunday I was off to Cedar Meadows to help my friend Jim replace his pushrod shrouds on his RV-8. I have never taken the shrouds off before, but it was a piece of cake. Total job took probably 30 minutes. I came back to KDMW to find Peter was showing off his project to a friend of his, Steven. It took Steven a fraction of a second to agree to go on a flight with me. Before this flight, the smallest airplane he'd ever been in as a 737! Best RV grin EVER??? And finally today I finished up the installation of my new COM2 - a Garmin GTR-200. It was a very easy and straightforward install. I received the radio on Friday from Stark Avionics, installed the tray on Saturday, and wired it up today. Worked the first time too. I'm slowly getting the RV back to 100% after my electrical incident.
