More work on the vertical stabilizer tip installation. I was able to drill it to the vertical stabilizer and trim the aft edge. I will need to build up the top of the new tip to match the old tip. I reinforced the inside of the tip with some balsa wood epoxied into place. With the epoxy curing, I moved onto installing the oil cooler shutter. It is getting warmer out, so I needed to remove the blocking plate anyways. I added some metal to the inboard edge of the oil cooler shutter to be able to attach a cushioned clamp. Boom! Installed. I sealed as best as I could all of the openings on the top and bottom of the oil cooler. Hopefully I should be able to install the control knob inside tomorrow and perhaps test it out!
