I thought long and hard to where to put the control for the oil cooler shutter. I decided to mount it to the subpanel. Out of the way, but reachable from the pilot. Routing the cable took some thought. Unfortunately I needed to make a pretty sharp bend in the cable for it to reach the shutter. It seems to work well. I took it for a test flight with the shutter doors closed, and the oil temps got up to just about 180 degrees. I started the process of adding filler to the top of my new vertical stabilizer tip. After about 1/2 dozen iterations, the buildup on the tip is looking great. This sucker is ready to be notched out to hold the camera!
