I took a look at the map box door today and the paint turned out perfect. Next I did a trial fit to see if the additional paint on the edges on the door would rub the panel. Nope, perfect perfect perfect. I was super happy with how great it turned out. The only thing I had left to do was make a "Passenger Warning" label and attach it to the center of the map box door. The Passenger Warning label is something that is required for 2 seat amateur built aircraft. So I go through the process of making a dry transfer label (I had previously made the graphic) and go to stick it on. So far the whole process was going perfectly. However, when I pealed back the mylar, all the letters stuck except the last letter of the last word! So I tried removing the label with some lacquer thinner but that messed up the paint a little. So basically tonight was a complete waste and set me back a small step. I was too frustrated to paint the map box door again.
