I painted my camlock backing plate with white paint this morning. When I got home, one was good enough to rivet on. The other one had some runs on it that needed to be sanded down and resprayed. Anyways, I riveted the backing plate to the fuselage and then use some -4 rivets to hold down the camlocks. Next I pressed the grommets into the cowl and installed the screws into them. Voila. Everything looks great. It took a while to figure out how to use them and get them mounted properly, so the rest of them should fly getting on!
