One item that hasn't come up in the instructions is the forward canopy deck. I figured now was as good of time as any to drill this to the longeron.

On the aft deck you need to bend the forward tab to align with the flange of the forward deck. With the forward deck on, I marked the bend line on the aft deck flange.

Here is the angle you got to shoot for. There are two #40 hole to drill to hold the two decks together.

One thing I wasn't too happy with was how the two decks met. There wasn't much of a transition, but it caught by fingers. I wanted this as smooth as a baby's butt.

I needed to bend the forward part of the aft canopy deck down (towards the longeron) because the downward bend of the longeron occurs under the aft deck. Once that was done, I went to town using files, various grits of emery cloth and finished her off with sandpaper. The transition is perfect.

With that out of the way, it was onto the baggage area prep. First on the list was to drill the aft baggage side cover. The instructions tell you to rivet everything on as you go, but I have to paint all of this, so I am holding off until I have a proper sized paint job.

Next was installing the baggage floors. I match drilled these, but I got the funny feeling that I did this already. Oh well, rather do it twice that not at all.
