This morning I shot over to Bill Rogers hours to check out his RV-7. I had no clue that his plane was so close to being done. He had tons of neat ideas integrated into his plane. The Blue Mountain EFIS/one, Superior IO-360, custom ram air, etc.. etc.. the list went on and on. He is also a EAA tech counselor and is going to take a peak at my wings soon. It is always great having a RV guy do your tech inspections, especially one who has built your exact same plane! Anyways, I got home and was pretty psyched to work on the project. Unfortunately, bottom skin deburring was on my list of things to do today. I also did a scarf joint on the bottom skin, just because it looks good. On my top skins, I used a file to make my scarf joint. I used this angle die grinder with a sanding pad with great success. It wasn't too aggressive and gave me better results than the vixen file. Plus it was quick -- less than half of the time of the file method.
