I was winding down on items to take care of for these maintenance projects. I re-routed the plug wires for #1/2 cylinders to make them not rub on the plenum. The run-up went mostly well - except my mag drop was like 300 RPM for the recently rebuild slick! I ended up accidentally timing it for 20 degrees BTDC instead of of 25. I retimed it and everything worked as advertised. My fuel pressure didn't fluctuate into the teens like it normally does - but this is still early - I was only up for 30 minutes. Time will tell if the fuel pressure fluctuation issue has been resolved. It was a great night to fly - smooth and a nice sunset. I don't know if it's in my head or not, but this is the smoothest my engine has run in a while - not that it was rough before - but it just feels much smoother.
