I wasn't fully happy with my old tire inflator from Harbor Freight. The knuckle which seats onto the valve stem was very square at the end, and it didn't fit easily without leaking with the tight fit between the valve stem and the wheel. I concocted this new inflator by staring with this tire inflator (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08914CBLW). I liked this one because the gauge pressure range was reasonable and quite readable. However the end that with the chuck wasn't much better than what I had. So I found this AMFLO hose with a straight-on chuck (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000P6WMT6) which has a tapered chuck. There was a thread discrepancy between the hose and the inflator, but with some use of a new adapter, grinder and safety wire as a clamp, I am quite happy with this inflator. Sort of a Frankenflator, but it works exceptionally well for me. The demise of my old Harbor Freight inflator was the hose ended up cracking on me. This hose is made with Goodyear rubber and should last for quite some time. My friend Peter took his RV-8 up for it's first flight (https://www.vansaircraft.com/first-flights/peter-l-barretts-rv-8/) 3 days ago. We decided to go up again today for his second flight and to have some fun after work.
