I thought I found some excessive scoring on the top of #2. It looks bad at first sight, but my A&P buddy said it is just the camera making it look worse than it really is because the crosshatching is still intact. This scoring was a little more severe, but the cross hatching is still prevalent. The top of #2 seems to have a lot of little flakes on it. I was curious to know if it was steel. I removed the end of a telescoping magnet and attached it to the end of a set of curved hemostats to try to pick up the metal in the top of the #2 cylinder. Unfortunately it appears to be fresh balls of lead, as nothing stuck to the magnet.
