I was planning on going for a flight today, but my hangar floor told me otherwise. There were a few oil spots on the floor. The belly was covered in oil. Something is certainly amiss. The oil even made it all the way down the tailcone. My oil level wasn't all that low, but a little oil does go a long way. The cowling showed approximately the origin point - under the #4 cylinder. There is certainly some oil coming from the valve cover.... I really do enjoy finding the cause of an issue relatively quickly. Looks like a tear in the silicon valve cover gasket. Easy enough fix. Fast forward two days and ACS delivered me some new gaskets. I suppose I should be lucky they had them in stock. There are a lot of shortages out there!!!
