Today I went for a Biennial Flight Review flight with my friend Peter, who just passed his CFI test a week or two ago. I figured I'd be his first victim. He's working on his CFII next, so yours truly will be on his way to get an instrument ticket. The weather today was very clear - but windy on the ground which equated to some bumps in the air. Peter asked me what I'd like to work on, and I said flight following and flying through Bravo airspace. We did a quick flight over to KESN cutting through the BWI class Bravo via KMTN. Peter had me land on a given spot at KESN, then a power-off 180 back at KDMW. The power-off 180 was a real eye opener. The first one I wasn't even close to making the field. This has been one of the best BFR's I've ever received as I know I got a lot out of it.
