I was planning on going to the AOPA open house in Frederick (KFDK) today. The navigational database on my EFIS's was a bit out of date, so I took updated them to the September cycle.  Before I headed over to FDK, my friend Dave was at a house party nearby and wanted me to do a flyover for the kids there. Sold! In one of my tight turns, my oil door popped open once again! Well, that put an end to the days fun. I didn't want to shoot over to KFDK with the oil hatch open.  I was happy to see the ADS-B reception of METAR's seemed to be working again. It's a little disconcerting that it stopped on my fight from Plymouth back home last week. I suppose that is one of the downsides of running an app on a tablet that automatically updates itself.
