There were two snow storms which hit the area recently. My hangar faces east so I get very little sun in the morning to melt the snow naturally. So manual snow/ice removal was required.

It was actually quite nasty out. After a long cold spell it was quite warm today, causing the ice and snow to slide off the hangar roofs. Every couple of minutes one of these sections of snow-ice would slide off the roof onto the ground. I decided to manually remove them with a long stick before I rolled my RV out.

I recently purchased a new toy - the Garmin GDL-39 ADS-B receiver. I have it connected wireless via Bluetooth to my new 2013 Nexus 7 tablet.

We're all connected up. The New Nexus 7 and GDL-39 is a great combination.

Nothing beats the views from right after it snows....

Quick trip up...but mission accomplished. The GDL-39 is receiving from a number of ADS-B ground stations and updating the Garmin Pilot App with new weather information.
