I got an unexpected night on the project tonight because the forecasted snow storm closed my grad school! I love how wimpy this state is when it comes to closing stuff for 2" of snow. When I was in Michigan going to school, snow wouldn't affect anything. Here is MD its a state disaster every time. Instead of working in the garage I moved shop into the warm basement to work on the rudder tips. I trimmed and drilled the top rudder tip to the rudder.

Next I trimmed and drilled the top vertical stabilizer tip to the VS. I raised the aft end of it to match the top of the rudder tip. I am going to actually screw the VS tip on because eventually I would like to install a wide-view camera up here to video the mischief I will get myself into.

I cut some 9/16" backing strips out of some scrap 025 or 032 (I didn't measure, like it matters), roughed up one side and epoxied it to the inside of the rudder tip.

I did the same for the Vert Stab tip.

I removed the rudder from my sawhorses and put the horizontal stabilizer and the elevators on the horses for fitting the tips next. I didn't feel like doing this tonight, but it's ready to go tomorrow or the next night.
