I went to the hardware store today to buy some longer screws for the wingtip lights. After cutting some of the screws shorter and remounting everything, I am satisfied that all of this will work out. I need to get some stronger springs for the inboard light, but thats no biggie. I was worried about some "show stopper" interference.

Next on the list for the wingtips was to rivet the hinges. I used some proseal to help with the adhesion. I hate proseal.

On the left wingtip I mounted an Archer navigation antenna. The instructions say to install this as far forward as possible and run the wingip wiring along it. Well, that wasn't going to workout with the way I have all of the lights in the wingtip. Plus, my ballasts for the HID lights will be mounted forward. I decided to mount this as far aft as possible to reduce any possible interference. You can see on the inboard side of the wingtip I drilled it to the hinge to ground it to the airframe.

Here is a pic to show the fore/aft orientation of the nav antenna.

Finally I did some filling and reprimed the empennage fairing. I was very pleased with how it turned out from the other day. Minimal work needed to be done.
