More wiring fun tonight. I was originally planning to put the pilot and copilot headset and Push-to-Talk (PTT) wires in once the audio panel was installed for good. However, I decided it would be much easier to do now. I would just need to figure out how long the wires needed to be for the runs. I am installing the headset jacks on the side of the F-705 bulkhead, and I measures it is about 14' of wire I would need. I rounded up to 18' to give me plenty of extra. So I measures and cut 4 pieces of three conductor shielded wire for the pilot and copilot Microphone and Headphone jacks, and another 4 pieces for the PTT button that will go on the sticks. With the 7000B it was a little convoluted to how to wire it all, since the pilot MIC is grounded differently than the copilot's. I think I nailed it in the end. Only one way to find out. I am getting real close to being done. I have all of the audio input/output pretty much wrapped up. I still have some external inputs to take care of - such as entertainment (i.e. MP3 player), and some unswitched inputs, such as the warning tones from the EFIS's. Then it is just some RS232 and ARINC connections from the transponder and Garmin 430. Then time to fire this puppy up!
