Another night of putting everything back together on the project. I installed the empennage fairing. This lower empennage fairing seal has been a complete pain to get on. After giving up on Automotive GOOP (it doesnt stick to rubber), I tried 3M's Super Weatherstrip Adhesive (Yellow). It came recommended by many people on the RV forums. So far it seemed to work. Here is the stuff. ACS sells it, but they have a hazmat fee associated with it. I found it at the local Advance Auto Parts (3M p/n 08001). I also used this adhesive to glue the wing root seal to the wing root fairing. I have heard of the bottom seal coming undone and wacking the crap out of the bottom of the fuselage. So I decided to just mitigate that problem from the get-go. I started installed some of the interior panels, starting with the center panel in the baggage compartment over the elevator pushrod. The thing just wouldn't go in. I took off one side of the flap housing to see the wires to the flap motor were interfering. I have no idea how I got this on the other day for the weight and balance check??? I drilled a 5/8" hole, grinded down a grommet and glued it into this panel. These are the wires that will go through this new hole. I'm still a little baffled how I never caught this before.
