After some layout work I drilled the holes for securing the wingtip backing plate to the wingtip, along with the holes for the landing taxi lights. I backdrilled this to the wingtip and then cut out the interior for the landing lights to reside. Next I needed to mount the AeroLED wingtip position strobe lights. I got to say I am overly impressed with the quality of the AeroLED product. They are pricey ($1,100 for all three lights), but you definitely get the quality. Additionally, the support from them has been great. I printed out the template AeroLED provides, marked the wingtip and drilled three #6 holes using their bracket as a guide. I also drilled a 1/2" hole for the wires to run through. Temporarily mounted up. Looks awesome. Next I did all of the above for thr right wingtip. After that, I broke out the fly cutter one last time and made a pair of 2" hole on each wingtip for the lights to shine out of. These are pretty much done!
