I started out tonight by sanding the canopy fairing some more and then applying another layer of micro. It is very close to being done. I moved onto splitting the control cable passthrough bracket that comes with the kit. Plans call for this plate to just have holes in it and the control cabled be threaded through it. I didn't like the idea of it not being able to be taken apart, so I cut it in two and put a backing plate on it so I could screw it together. If I did this again, I would of used the shears at work to cut it in half. I used a dremel tonight, and you can see the thickness of the cutoff wheel left a noticeable gap. Here is the back. And installed. Seems to works great! I finished off tonight by installing the hold-down bracket for the battery. Some people say this gets too close to the positive terminal of the battery. It is within say 1/4" or so. I don't think this is close at all. 12V doesn't like to arc all that readily.
