I shot off an email a few days ago to Vans asking what sort of firewall forward kit I need. Since I am using a IO-360 with vertical induction, there isn't a prepackaged kit. So, this is what Gus emailed me back with:

The one thing I don't agree on is the Gascolator. And, I think if you bypass the gascolator, you don't need the two VA-138 and VA-129 fuel supply hoses. You should be able to go from the firewall directly to the fuel controller using one hose. Most likely, I will just wait off on that and order it at a later date.

I spent some time importing the Van's sheet into Excel and going through their website associating prices with everything. Since I already have a governor, exhaust, alternator, etc.. I needed to delete quite a bit of the large ticket items.

I received another heat muff for my plane today. Someone on the VAF classified was selling it and I got it at a reasonable price. I am going with dual in-series heat muff's on my plane to attempt to make it comfortable in MD's winters.

Next I finished deburring and dimpled all of the front deck parts. I then spot primed some of the parts that I am riveting now. Here is the center section of the subpanel with some parts attached.

Notice these rivets need to be flush.

And here are the sides of the subpanel with the gap seal in place.

Here is where it attaches to the F-745, and again flush rivets are needed.

That pretty much wraps up the front deck. I need to do a little more riveting on the center part with the rivet gun. It was too late tonight to do it. I am leaving everything so I can take it apart for now. I see no reason to rivet everything together any more than it is to move on to the canopy.
