Today I worked on making a cover for the channel that goes between the top of the rollbar and the F-706 bulkhead. This is quite a popular option among builders and give a good place to put baggage lighting in. Anyways, I drilled out 4 #27 holes per side for #6 screws. There isn't much room to work with here because the dimple dies for #6 holes are quite beefy. Also, the K1100-06 nutplates all overhung over the channel, so I trimmed them back just in case I don't use the cover. In other words, it took quite a while to get this all done.


Here is the cover itself, made out of some scrap 032.


It really looks good installed!
