I spent a good 3 hours today moving my engine into the basement. Not as hard as it sounds, because I have a walk out basement that I can drive my pickup down to. The engine just barely fit through the outside door, but at last it is in the best possible environment I can put it in. I made up these plastic blocks per the plans. There is a cable that attached between the seatbelt attachment bracket in the aft fuselage (gets attached to the longeron) that goes to the shoulder seatbelts. Where it feeds through the F-706 bulkhead skins, these are used to keep the wear off of the metal. Each one gets secured to the skin with some #30 pop rivets in the configuration as shown. Here is the outside view. Notice how the seatbelt cable goes through the center.
