It was cold in the garage tonight - 35 degrees when I turned on the heater. Time to see how this puppy does. Tonight I was able to get through drilling the z-brackets to the left spar and then drilling the nutplate rivet holes. I also took a closer look at my drill press and there is definitely something going on with it. I think that the shaft is slightly bent and also some of the bearings might be going bad. I also can't find any spare parts for it. Guess its time for a new drill press. This is what I used to detect wobble in my drill press. I "borrowed" a dial indicator from sears and rigged it up to check wobble. I got this idea from a drill press tuning PDF I read. Well, I was able to get rid of the wobble in the chuck somewhat, but I think I am dealing with some pullies or something in the drive train out of balance. I really have no confidence left in this drill press.
