The title for today pretty much describes everything. I have slowed down the rate of how fast I move the soldering iron to 1" every 2 seconds. It seems to produce for a more consistent peel without tearing. I think that devinyling the skins is my new least favorite thing to do. Its a lot of work at a slow pace that you can't speed up with the only reward of being able to peel back the blue vinyl and throw it out. It is just a pain to do these elevator skins because of all of the stiffeners. Hopefully the wings/fuselage skins will be easier since they lay flat.
