My friend and RV-8 builder Peter needed to borrow some tools from me in order to finish up his wings. Instead of just meeting him at the airport for a tool exchange, I tempted him with a flight somewhere. We have a good deal - I pay for AV gas, he pays for lunch. It was a beautiful warm day out, so I decided to get lunch somewhere around the Bay Bridge Airport (W29) in Stevensville, MD. There are a number of small restaurants within a 20 minute walk of the airport. The "Crab Shack" was recommended to us by the FBO. However, as we walked by it, the lack of patrons and proximity to an auto repair shop scared us away. I knew there was a good restaurant a little further down the road that had better ambiance.

Hemingway's has a fantastic location right on the Chesapeake bay. Walking to it is also enjoyable as you can follow the dockline of the local marina. Unfortunately today, the outdoor dining section was closed, so indoors it was.

The Caribbean Mahi Taco's here are unbelievably good. One of the better meals I have had in a while. Note the beer is on Peter's side of the table - the Pilot was on good behavior today.
