So the top plate of my FAB is pretty nasty looking now. I mean really nasty looking.  After a little fluting and a lot of bending, the top of the FAB was laying flush again and looking a little better. It's not beautiful, but its very functional and VERY hidden!  I needed to shave off some of the top fuel servo mounting plate so it would contour to the new side of the top plate.  Lastly, tonight I found a small visitor in the shop. When I found him, he was covered in fiberglass cloth and aluminum shavings. I cleaned him off and let him back into a less hostile environment.
