I started out today by modifying the aft canopy deck in accordance to the tip-up mod needed. Took a little time, but it turned out great.

Next was the gusset that gets mounted between the top of the F-705 bulkhead and the longeron. For the tip-up, this needs a somewhat square hole made. I started by putting some 1/4" holes on the corners. They don't call for a radius, but don't see whats wrong with 1/8".

The finished product. I am real happy with how this turned out.

Next I drilled it onto the fuselage. My nice clean inside is getting nice and messy with metal bits.

I then drilled the appropriate holes in the F-757 front brace. This goes on the front of the upper longeron and attaches to the firewall.

The fit of this is OK, but there is a slight gap where it meets the firewall. I am going to adjust the line of rivets on the forward end of this brace to be parallel with the firewall.
