My mission today was to fix the interference I was having with the oil cooler bolt and the cylinder fins. My idea was to use a flush head screw on the inside of the baffle. So I removed the nutplate, refilled the rivet holes and dimpled the baffle.


Because this is dimpled now, I needed to make a spacer plate out of some 063 to make the oil cooler mount flush on the back of all of this.



Here is the forward side -- nice and flush now.


And the aft side. You can see I'm using a 10-32 coupling nut. Yeah, I know it is just a hardware store item, but I couldn't find anyplace that sold aircraft coupling nuts. I need to get a shorter bolt from spruce, but you get the idea of how it is all supposed to go together.
