Last night I was working on trimming the aft of the forward canopy. Well, with my mark I trimmed it and didn't get a nice result. Somewhat wavey. That really frustrated me. So, I thought about it for a while and figured out how to draw a better centerline on the roll bar and canopy. I put this contraption together - the long stick rubs against the back of the rollbar while the pen marks a straight line on the rollbar, and then with the canopy on, do it all over again to mark the canopy. It ended up working GREAT. I need to go a *little* bit more sanding, but I'd say my canopy is within 1/64" of the centerline the whole way around....so nice!

With the aft part done, I concentrated on final trimming the sides. This went off without a hitch.

Here the final canopy layout is - you can see the plexi is cut just on the top of the joggle of the side rails. I am 99% sure I am done trimming the forward canopy. A little sanding here and there to get things just right, but I think the cut off wheel is done until the aft canopy.
