The weather worked out today to start painting the interior of the fuselage. Here is the side skin done.

The F-7101 brace and the bottom skin.

And finally for tonight, the F-705 bulkhead. The finish turned out OK. I am going to have to repaint some of the side skin, but it will happen after it is in the fuselage where I can easily touch it up after it gets scratched up.

I powered up my GNS-430 tonight to make sure it worked. After some soldering and making a simple basic harness to get juice to it, it fired right up. The screen looks fantastic on this unit with no dead pixels. I am very happy.

And here is the harness I made up. You need a DB78 Male and a DB25 female. I picked up the connectors from Connections USA - they were the only place I could find the DB78, and their prices were good. As far as the pinout goes, I followed the Garmin installation manual I have for the 430. If you want a copy email me. Garmin makes a big stink over posting the install guides online.
