I stopped by the hangar tonight to drop off some things and check out how my recently services Garmin 430W operated. My evening was quickly spoiled when I saw this. My PFD's screen wasn't outputting any data. It wasn't all that terrible - the internals of the PFD still seemed to be working. Upon bootup, the MFD indicated the inter-display link was operational.  The AHRS was also able to level, so the PFD was definitely alive, just the screen wasn't talking. Dimming the MFD screen caused the PFD's screen to also change it's backlight intensity.  With nothing really to loose, I removed the PFD and cracked open the case.  I found two ribbon cables which looked like they could be the data cables which drive the screen, I removed both of them and rejacked them.  With my fingers crossed, I popped the screens back in and all was fixed! Sweet!
